The 2nd Annual Loon Lake Classic Boat Show was a complete success and so much fun for all the boaters, boat fans and neighbors who enjoyed the hospitality of members Warren Walker and Deb Woitha. We were blessed with a gorgeous extended summer day and a variety of unique classic boats. Wood, fiberglass and aluminum – mahogany, plywood, and lapstrake… even some cool classic cars! The variety was awesome and we saw boats and cars we haven’t seen before.
The day started with a meet and greet and then we headed out to the lake for a parade around Loon. The Loon Lake residents had been alerted to the time of the parade and enthusiastiacally cheered to us from their docks, decks and boats. The smaller boats then proceeded through the “tubes” to Schoolhouse, Wormer and Mohawk lakes. Afterward, all gathered in Warren’s hand-built boat house for delicious food, neighborly camaraderie and a spectacular sunset.
Thanks to Warren and Deb for hosting, the neighbors for the use of docks and all the boat owners for bringing their boats! We are eagerly awaiting the 3rd annual Loon Lake Classic Boat Show!
